I think the currency should just be downloads
I assume it already will be
It will have a different name and for however many downloads and users choice awards it gets will earn however many of the currency.

i have a list of things
simple things like changing the color of your name/comment boxes/etc to more advanced things like a message that is seen in the sidebar maybe, or some way to promote a stickfigure of your choice, etc
