Alright, so this is my current concept for Mellow. I’d like to hear some people’s thoughts and criticisms with it so that I can potentially improve him from a design standpoint. I said before that I really wanted to turn Mellow into a battle jester of sorts so I thought “why not do that now”? I took some inspiration from Jaeyun’s Death Jester skin from Brawlhalla, and also some parts from Spark the Electric Jester too. I’d add so much more to it if I wasn’t stuck at a 380/384 node count lol. Some things that were changed were the handsize, the footsize along with improved boot base, the part of the hoodie at the bottom now being split, an added right angle triangle to both of his wrists for no good reason, and of course the most notable change, a jester motif to the hood of his hoodie. Overall, I just wanted to make him look more like a flamboyant performer, seeing as he’s a magician in the truest sense. And I think the silhouette looks much MUCH better now, but I don’t think I’m completely done yet.

I’ve realised that while Mellow may look good on the surface, his silhouette is really lacking. Make him a black man and he’s no different from your everyday adventurer. His character design is a little flawed in a way, and I think I’m gonna fix that over the next few days.
Comet, on the other hand, has a sort of recognisable silhouette and could potentially be seen as iconic if the right things are added to and changed with him. To fix up Mellow, some additional parts to his hood might add to how unique he currently is. Some more exaggeration too like a bigger foot size and hands to add to the cartoonish and unrealistic look he was intended to have. I don’t know if anyone’s gonna read this lol, I’m just spitballing
