If you had to @ him, don’t you think it would’ve been put in the rules in the first place? In fact, I’m pretty sure the poll itself made it very possible for the contest to not require participants @ing him, so for people to not use their common sense and realise that much, it’s not a great sight.
At least it didn’t get too out of hand

I’m more disappointed in the entries themselves.
Random users popping up all of a sudden asking for entries like
1. They’re good ( they’re terrible and in creative )
2. Nobody knows who the hell they are
3. They don’t particularly have anything of note about them, they just want the publicity
No offence necessarily here I just think these people need to actually think.

i don’t see the need to diss users who just pop in here to show their entries and leave again after
it’s a contest, so of course this is essentially the main place to show what they made
just because it’s someone unfamiliar on this site doesn’t really mean they’re immediately an outcast, nor should they feel like they should “climb the ranks” here just so they can get a chance for a contest, that’s just stupid and feels like gatekeeping at this point
while a lot of them are bad, i don’t see the need to gatekeep since this contest is supposed to be for everyone

I’m not trying to diss anyone, I believe I made that clear anyway what with the no offence and all that. I understand the point you’re making about being more accepting and considering different perspectives but I don’t think it’s as simplistic as just changing my stance on it all.
My point was that despite our best interests so many users are not known anywhere, they don’t visit the site nor do they have an OC that even really looks good at all. If the user were to be a popular animator like Mici animations but use a base Stickfigure with a couple accessories and still some changes and put an entry in, that in my eyes is fine.
The problem lie however in the fact that these people aren’t mici, they aren’t anybody, it’s pretty much just kids trying to get lucky and promote their names ‘ hey please subscribe to my channel ‘ and all that. If they’re lesser known but still skilled etc fine but it is just as I say it is and I’m sure you can recognise what I mean by the entries submitted.

I mean, at some point they will have to be blipped anyway because they just don’t meet the standard so whatever we say or do I think we both can understand where the good and bad entries are headed.

also I checked and so far, literally no word even slightly hints to the fact that you aren’t allowed to @ him. Idk If I’m even more blind then ever but since there isn’t any apparent hints to said “rule” we can just go nuts
Just because there isn’t anything to say you can’t @ him, doesn’t mean that it’s absence allows you to go ahead. It’s not a rule, it’s common sense. If it never said you need to @ him, then you obviously don’t. The rules are there to be followed, and if something was put in there, you should follow it. If something isn’t there, then it obviously isn’t a rule.
And no, that doesn’t mean that because there isn’t a rule to not @ him, you can go ahead and do it anyway. That logic is faulty and you should thoroughly check your head if that’s really the way you see the world.
