And I must admit, I am guilty of that too ☠️
My figures don’t always have to be something new. It’s why I don’t go making new character after new character after new character all the time. I go back and improve on my work to make it better, and that’s why many of my characters typically get remade often because I’m looking to improve.
Progression is good, progression is constant, but it is not always direct or obvious. I won’t lie, I did use parts of an older figure to make this one, but that’s not inherently wrong, in fact it never has been. There’s nothing wrong with saving time, and the fact alone that I went back and improved on those parts I used shows the level of effort I put into it, and my progression since last time. That’s not laziness. Laziness would be posting an image of the old figure and acting like I did something totally new.
You either don’t understand what laziness is, or you project your own sloth-like habits onto me. I don’t know how you make your own figures, and I’m not interested in finding out either, but I put work and time into everything I make, and you’re in no position to accuse me of anything less.

I didn’t intend it to be a negative comment, nor was I trying to one up you, as you said, there is nothing wrong with reusing older stickfigures to make new ones ( especially if the end result is just better anyways ), im guilty of it myself
Also nothing wrong with laziness, being called lazy is often a negative remark but this is animation and character creation bruh, OF COURSE we’re going to slack at some point, being called lazy at animation is the equivalent of being called a homo sapiens.

Well, at this point I’m more convinced that you just lack proper communication skills. You said yourself that laziness is often used as a negative remark, but you seriously expect me or anyone else to take something like that lightly? Or even see it as anything other than snide?
And this is more of a nitpick than anything, but Epitaph wasn’t that good lol. In my eyes, I think I’ve long since passed him in skill, but whatever.

And at this point, I think it’s the latter, I mean, it’s been 10 years that I’ve had friends come and go whether online or real life, I just can’t keep them.
And here’s the kicker, I know why, it’s because I always point out a problem when there’s one, when I don’t care, I really dont and I always say that I’ve gone through worse.
But at the same time, I can’t keep things bottled up forever, nor do I feel the need to be apologetic every single time somebody tells me how bad their life is ( join the damn club ! )
Y’know what, I’ll just deal with it, I won’t point out problems, I will acknowledge more things and be a bit sorry that somebody else’s life is as bad as mine.

I don’t know half of what you’re even talking about. You’re venting to me and trying to explain… whatever the hell it is, and I haven’t even got a clue what you mean. All I’m getting is that you word things poorly, people get mad at you, and you don’t understand why, nor do you feel apologetic about it. And that’s what’s driving your friends away from you.
Just sounds to me like you lack empathy and only view things from your perspective, not thinking about how other people might feel about the things you say, or even caring for that matter.
Is that meant to be their problem? Are they soft just because you’re not considerate enough? You really think that everyone’s about as tough as you, just because you can take an insult or two? And what if they can’t? Is that their fault?
I’m only gauging what you’re trying to tell me (actually, it feels more like you’re talking to yourself) because you managed to word that poorly like seemingly everything else you say, but it doesn’t feel like I’m too far off from the truth.
Whatever your issue is, don’t go making it a problem for other people too. I don’t pity you for losing your friends if that’s something you managed to bring onto yourself because all that means is that your own character needs working on. I’m not interested in hearing you speak your mind if all you can come up with is inconsiderate babble, so maybe try instead to think about what you say before you say it. I don’t know if anything I say is going to help you, but I wasn’t trying to anyway. I want to see you doing better next time, or not see you at all if it means your behaviour continues. Either works for me.
Oh right, that’s another thing. You didn’t intend for that comment to be negative, and yet you expected me to insult you. That doesn’t make a lot of sense if you ask me.
