heavily disagree. Choppy animation rules when done correctly. Sometimes animation when it’s too smooth or interpolated or essentially tweened has always been really jarring and nasty in my opinion. I never liked seeing tweened or interpolated or 60 fps animation. Sometimes it gets worse the smoother it becomes. Its attempts at trying to be so realistic, real, and smooth it loses its fantastical element to it. Spiderverse tackles this very well though, as in the first spiderverse miles is animated entirely in 2s (meaning he’s purposely left a little choppy) until he gets his suit, then he’s animated in 1s like the rest of the spidermen, it’s an amazing way to show growth. A showing how miles began choppy and messy and is now a full blown Spider-Man, in the new movie miles is animated in 1s but some scenes are still choppy to keep that ‘aesthetic’. It’s visual masterpiece overall
