    • use tween, people think non-tween is better bc it means theyre pro, dont listen to them, tween makes it smoother, and you put just as much effort into it as non-tween.

Non-tween is better, not because it makes people think they’re pro, but because it gives you much more control over everything, and the way to make non-tween look good is to ease and have higher fps, tweening is for lazy ppl

Both are good, an animation doesn’t decrease in value when its tweened or not, and neither is superior than the other. Non-tween is easier to work with, since it gives you more control like you said, but that doesn’t mean you’re a lazy animator. On the other hand, tween makes it easier to make your animations look smoother, but again, that doesn’t make you any less of an animator than a non-tween one. Which one looks better all comes down to preferences.

Tween makes your spacing even. Small spacing is for tiny movements, while big spacing is for fast and big movements. Tween makes all of the spacing in your animations even. Which means that all of your spacing will remain the same throughout your animation.

    • Look at the 12 principles of animations that you can apply on StickNodes (Alan Becker did a series on this which I encourage you to watch). Personally, I find that easing has to be the first thing you must learn how to do when you first start animating, since no animation looks good without it.
Also, take this to heart: don’t dwell too much on visioning your animation’s end result, or else you’ll forget to enjoy the process of making it.
      Good luck!
