gotta disagree here oomfie. i was once like you, very adamantly against xenogenders and other similar things. but unfortunately, gender is a spectrum, and although xenogenders “lie outside of human understanding of gender”, they still fall upon it. and wherein people lie upon it, and how their gender expression is expressed, isnt for you to decide. think itsnstupud all you want, be as you please, but what is comfortable and unharmful to others, is not something you SHOULD be calling stupid. you can raise the argument that “oh its used to mock the community” but…no, the only time a “xenogender” has ever been used to mock, is the stupid attack helicopter “joke” made by nobody who is actually xenogender, or any form of non-cis gender identity. people do what they do to be comfy, if its of no harm, which usually it isnt, your right to say is small for something you dont reallly understand

edit: i accidentally put some of my edits as i was typing in the wrong place lol

oh i never said anything past the industrial revolution was good, i just think youre absolutely incorrect to say it peaked in the industrial revolution. it peaked in the 13th-15th centuries

fandom really only applies to media when the fandom itself starts to have an affect on the media. MHA isnt good even without its fandom, but its fandom does gear me to drive away from openly interacting with it. a good example of fandom bleeding into media and ultimately making it kinda worse for me is deltarune, so far. you can tell that chapter 2 was highly geared towards the fandom with its very specific quirkiness and while i dont hate it, it lessens that natural enjoyment i got from undertale and chapter 1
