New Updates (1.1.1 and 1.1.2)

So I pushed out two updates over the past few days. They were both focused on the two most-common (but still rare) crashes, as reported by Google Analytics. The changelog for the first update looked like this:

  • Bug fix for a crash caused by Android clearing away important memory when the app was in the background – resuming the app would cause it to crash.
  • Bug fix for a crash affecting a few devices with nvidia GPUs. This is due to a bug with nvidia’s drivers.

The second update was needed due to the fact that bug #2 apparently wasn’t completely fixed, hopefully things are all good now – I’ll keep monitoring crash reports to verify.

Also, the search continues for a used, cheap-but-still-okay Mac for me to develop the ios version on – really hoping to find one in the next day or two.

New Update (1.1.0)

Another update! Stick Nodes 1.1.0 is released. Some rare bug fixes (one related to certain device GPUs and another that would crash the app when adding a limb to a stickfigure).

Stick Nodes was also updated to the latest version of LibGDX (the underlying Java library used) which is what caused the slight delay in getting this update out.

Next up on the to-do list is to begin preparations for the IOS version!

New Update (1.0.9)

Another new update was released last night.  Thank goodness for Google Analytics, really helps keep me up to date on any and all problems/bugs with the app so I can get fixes out asap.

Changes in 1.0.9:
– Bug fix: Rare crash caused by dragging a node while starting a project.
– Bug fix: Rare bug caused by opening certain dialogs at precise moments.

There’s still one rare bug that eludes me, it seems to only occur with a very small handful of low-end devices.  It has to do with file input/output where the current code causes the app to force-quit upon the first write (which happens at startup).  Hopefully will have it fixed very soon.
