Toxic911 Animations“S e r i e s R e v i e w”

Humor is inapplicable for this animation, so I will not critique it.

Joker’s series has always been known to focus more on fights than storyline, and the storyline itself is pretty bland. To be fair, that is understandable, as the main focus of the series is the fighting itself. The villain in this episode is very one-dimensional, as he really only does evil things “just for fun”, which is pretty corny. One-dimensional villains aren’t always a bad thing, but it could definitely be pulled off better here.

The fight itself is pretty great. It has consistent action, use of unique abilities, and overall feels satisfying and fun to watch. The music also is a great choice for the fight, as it elevates the conflict. There isn’t much tension as everyone already knows Joker is just going to win, but it’s fun to watch nonetheless.

This animation gives off the feel of capturing what SN fights are really capable of in terms of legitimate fighting. The story is indeed pretty basic and the dialogue here is basic as well, but the focus of the series itself (the fights) is done spot on, which is commendable. Even the pacing of the fight is well done, and it doesn’t feel like they take any breaks even when they do. It is a consistent well-animated action.

I want to give this a 4/5 for the visuals, so I will, but overall I think this is a very high 3/5. The story is pretty bland, and that certainly hinders the capabilities that could have been reached within this series. For the story, I have to give a 2/5. There’s not much there but basic content. It works for the series but doesn’t excel.

Overall, this is a great fighting episode to watch. Don’t try to get invested if you’re looking for more story-based/character-based content, because this isn’t focused on that. If this series had that and had some emotional investment, the potential it could have reached would be simply outstanding.

Extremely high 3/5. A must watch for the fights alone.

Watched through till here, and I have to say the the story is garbage. Moments carry no emotion and the characters actions do not compliment his actual morals. He sits there, kills a bunch of people with no remorse brutally, then he kills their leader in a less brutal and he regrets it. So that’s a big damaging factor of a series. If you don’t have a functioning story, it makes the series a significantly worse one. The visuals are also nothing special. Hardly any background is shown and destruction of enviroments is nothing but decals and pulls from the power of the fights, but the effects are nice. So gotta give those a 2/5. But what carries the enjoyment of this is the fight scenes. They are something special. Though alot of times, the animation is good, but the character being toyed around with isn’t even making an attempt to fight back at that time. It feels really pound for pound. But I will give this a:
2/5

you kno it’s funny, i used to be a fan of this series, but after rewatching this episode i’m fairly sure i could make something exactly like this within two weeks, and i literally never animate. it’s just so… basic.
