After the arrival of the kings, Nightmare would try to defeat them, but not having the power of the gods he would fall before them. Defeated and badly wounded, he had to resort to the help of ELITE Corp.

Infected with the ravaging parasite, Nightmare was unable to assimilate it losing control becoming completely corrupted. The victory was His, but at the cost of thousands of innocent lives and corrupting his world leaving it withered.

Seeing this universe Infinity Nightmare decided to save this corrupted Nightmare, creating armor to contain his infection and restore him to reason. Now being part of Court of the End they would go in search of more broken universes...
