Bad idea. That will kill both the target and shooter.

Umm. How? The sword that is shot isn’t gonna fly all over the place.

But the one who shot it WILL.
All actions have an equal and opposite reaction.
So if i decide to slap you cause my figs are better than yours, the very same amount of force and energy that is exerted into your cheek will also be exerted into me as well. That’s why we take a stance, because otherwise we’d topple over from our own force. The same applies to Bullets

Bayonets exist

Yes. But shooting swords is where it’s at.

There are real historical accounts of gun swords but they were unfavourable compared ti the bayonet

I’d use one or the other, or like in CD, a sword as a melee and backup

Oof, the sheer amount of propellent required would be real heavy and then the force to launch it would also send the pommel smashing into you at high velocity or straight into the distance leaving you bewildered and confused.

I recommend not doing that

How would the pommel fly back? Just gotta load in some gun powder then blow the sword forward. Gotta have a really big gun though, and lot’s of fire power. Preferably a cannon. Like the ones in the 1700s.
