There’s also the possibility that Jake aims to remain as mobile as possible, being as he has no armor on his legs or head…
But I honestly don’t know
I mean
You don’t just journey across a huge island for years wearing a set of full plate armour, it’s too weighty and doesn’t even function that well in all scenarios like climbing or dealing with a giant enemy like a dragon that’ll kill you regardless of your armour.
I don’t think he has seen the historically accurate knights. *whispers* the real ones almost never wear armor and are against fighting
