A Vicious Rouxian Shotgun weilded by Hyper Knights, the highest ranking Rouxians. these weapons fire shards of a glass like substance that tear flesh into ribbons and burys itself into weapons and armour, discomforting the opponant.
The pump action feature is in fact not to rid the weapon of a shell but instead to crush the glass inside the gun, prepping it to be fired upon the foe. while it may be limited to close-range, it can do fairly well in mid range if the ammunition isn't crushed before firing as it will instead fire a sharp block of glass which'll shatter upon impact causing havok where it lands.

The way I’d see it is that the goass round would be inserted into the gun through a slot, smash it to pieces with one quick *chk chk* of the pump and then fire out a spray of razor sharp glass and watch it slice through the opponent covering them in their own blood and forcing them to the ground in screaming agony. As horrific as it is, it fits the Hyper Knights as they’re completely remorseless.
And about the bend. The actual internal barrel is straight, it’s just the outer body that’s curved.

Well if the pump action isn’t for loading a shell/extracting it, then how does the weapon get rid of those shells? Does it delete them from the animation with the magic of sticknodes?

And I think you don’t understand how guns work. A gun primes a snall explosive to ignite gunpowder and create gas pressure inside the casing to propell the bullet at high speeds
Crushing a glass shard and throwing it with blunt force wouldn’t give the projectile nearly as much energy to pierce the muscles bones and skin
You can gently scrape someone with a shard of glass and it’ll break through the skin, imagine that s**t spring loaded, IT’S GONNA F**KING KILL YA
Believe me, a spring loading isn’t gonna get the glass very far. Unless it’s some really strong spring that is way beyond a typical spring we have, the glass wouldn’t have enough momentum to keep flying fpr more that a few feet in front of you.
It’s a nice looking gun but I can doubt range functionality with spring propulsion
Two ways to fire the glass
Spring – Not a very powerful punch and the glass will be thrown a few feet.
Blunderbuss kind of wae – The glass would implode inside causing smaller piece which is like getting shot by a thumbtacks machine gun. Due to them hitting each other, momentum is reduced. Causing a slower shot but still faster than a spring. It might reach around 15 – 40 ft.
No matter how it is shot. This is a pretty lethal weapon.
A blunderbuss fires like a normal gun (for it’s time)
A steel hammer hits a flint lock igniting a some gunpowder outside the barrel (or something else) igniting the gunpowder inside the barrel causing the many smaller BB’s to fly out

Explain what you meant in the blunderbuss kind of way. Is it the fact that it crushed a piece of glass into smaller projectiles and fires them in a shorter range that it would have been if you loaded a single projectile?
It depends on the glass used.
A standard glass would shatter to the force of the vibration and it would hit the pathway of the barrel, which would slow it down.
A certain type of glass commonly used for armor has a possibility of shattering.
Let’s just say it’s a top-of-the-range piston?

Well it is a shotgun, well known for close range. These are designed for Rouxian Hyper Knighrs who will go as far as shoving the gun in your face before pulling the trigger
Well, when designing a gun you have to factor in some design features and choices. Among them is purpose of the gun. Say if this gun is good for the hyper knights who will fight only in cqc then the gun having less range that a nerf dart would be fine for them. Obviously using this gun outside of a ww1 trench like combat situation would be useless because the gun would hurt but definitely not kill or inflict serios damage
Well they have a sword and shield made of solid light on their arms so they should be okay
They also have access to all the other Rouxian gun

Lemme tell you that most sci fi films has no logic.
This gun can certainly make you bleed to death if not, die instantly. Due to the fact that one shard of glass can literally make you function less on the battlefield, and can make you bleed so much. I got an idea. Why not use millions of glasses and bombard it at the enemy to give a boost to the team yeah?

The shells are completely solid glass about the size of te average glass you get at a restaurant. This glass is smashed appart into relatively small shards as well as a lot of minuscule, dust-like shards.
This part actually make sense.
So, the force of this ‘piston’ cause the glass to break. This helps me clarify the effective distance.
If it was a metal projectile, or anything hard. It would launch really far. But due to the glass’ weak structure, it’s gonna shatter. So most of the force that has been transferred to the glass will disappear.
But it can still (somehow) hurt someone.
You’re good for about 10 meters.
So, this gun should be a secondary.

Hyper Knights are extremely agile so they’d get within that range with ease,the sheer ammount of glass and dust that’d be sprayed out would be like wave of razor blades, shredding all it touches
A Nerf gun is pretty weak.
An even more advanced pellet gun is the so called ‘Airsoft’.
It has 2 propulsion system (depends on the gun). Coil Spring Loaded or Piston Air Pump.
And as i was saying, most pellet guns uses a long coil spring to launch the projectile.
But since the Nerf is “child friendly”. It has a pathetic projectile velocity.
Oh yeah. Actually here they are called “airguns” (because of the air pump). And I think they are kinda illegal here

Spring + Air pump combination to make a very powerful launcher. Or you can just use a modded Minecraft piston.
I get that im kinda late… But the hedgehog grenade from resistance exists.

Seems like a pretty poor design choice. You cleaning the gun or just tightening your grip would discharge the weapon and possibly kill someone so the trigger is probably not applying pressure on the grip
Safety switch
You know, grip pressure is a good idea but kinda hard to execute
It has the same difficulty as learning a whole language.
Which is learned during our child days, for about 10 years it is very well stuck in the mind. For the most part, foreign countries have 2 languages. English and ———. So you get the idea of how much the mind can do with the enough amount of practice.
As Epitaph states, it has a ‘safety switch’. So this can very well prevent accidental gunfire. The problem is, how much force does the gun need to fire?

The idea of applying pressure is hard to execute but very much doable. A safety switch is nice but a bit inconvenient in battle situations

Unlike hook triggers, which can be used by a 3 yro with game experience. This gun is more gonna be practiced. So a lot more professionals.
I don’t like seeing stormtrooper level marksmanship on people.
So you don’t like people who can aim well? Because the stormtrooper thing and their bad aim is just a joke. If you saw thr battle of hoth or scarif you can see that they can aim well and kill. The stormtrooper corps are the best of the empire’s ground forces (and yes there is some police and other military corps on the empire that are not Stormtroopers, the Stormtroopers are the best). Stormtroopers can aim good enough to kill people and it’s just plot armor that lucas gave Luke, Han and Leia because the are the heroes of the trilogy and killing them off would not make much sense.
Because it’s all in common sense.
Instead of taking time to shoot someone, you’d fire like a lunatic hoping to hit someone.

Most shotguns are loadable from the bottom actually and the side compartment is for ejecting cartridges, still some are loadable from that compartment I think

The ithica 37 is loaded from the bottom and ejects from there so that’s pretty cool but it’s from the bottom and not from the side
