A FARMING TOOL used for CUTTING CROPS.
These are usually mistaken as weapons due to having a cool spiky thing on it and the Grim Reaper has one. in actuality, the shaft of a Scythe is very hard to control as a weapon and instead if using one as a weapon, they'd be modified to be more like a s**ty spear.
Due to the weight of the blade, it would be impossible to hold so there are a few handles on it for sweeping through CROPS and not people being as it's, of all the farming tools available, one of the worst.
JUST USE A GODDAMN AXE!

scythes are quite basic and simple in design, so that’s probably why

Actually, this is not called a scythe. The scientific name for it is the “Reaper.” It was made for farming. This cut down the farming time by 78% and made it much easier.

Incorrect. There are such things as war scythes but their spike is more akin to a spear as it points upwards
