The spikes at the bottom would stab the user

Is impractical as the weapon design is, there is also the issue that you should NEVER put effects on a weapon like the electricity on this. Let the person animating add the effects.

1) that’s a Scythe, not a Sickle.

2) Scythes are easily the least useful weapon usable, they’re a goddamn farming tool.

3) loops on the shaft makes handling near impossible.

4) the sideways blade of a scythe leads to the blade swinging around and making cutting virtually impossible without the prong most Farming Scythes have, but even if it did, in a combat scene it would not work.

5) spikes at the bottom lead to self injury.

6) spikes on a blade lead to getting stuck on bone, clothes, armour and tough flesh, making easy cuts harder.

7) putting a spike on the back is dangerous but can work if short enough.

8) blade is too thick, would lead to either snapping the shaft or making handling impossible.

9) effects on a fig like the lightning is a horrible idea as you’ll end up with just a scythe with zigzags on it.

10) War Scythes do exist but they were improvised weapons, used when there was nothing else. on top of that, the blades were adjusted to point upwards rather than the side, making it easier to handle and much better at stabbing, effectively turning it into a s**ty spear.
