Sceptile is an all round decent Starter Pokemon with a good set of moves like Leaf Blade, Substitute and Giga Drain. as a Grass type Pokemon, Sceptile is very good with status effecting moves like Stun spore or Toxic, allowing it to slow down and immobilize opponents entirely. however, Sceptile is very weak to fire type attacks so a well placed fire blast from a Salazzle will take care of this Pokemon.
Sceptile originally popped up as the Grass type starter in Generation 3 alongside Blaziken and Marshtomp, it is the most tactical of the three while Blaziken is designed for swift yet powerful attacks and Marshtomp as the slow but bulky defensive Pokemon.

Welp, time to make a mega sceptile
this looks great
I’ve found that an effective moveset for a Sceptile is Leaf Blade, Energy Ball, Earthquake, and Dragon Claw. (Leaf Blade for Pokemon that are weak to grass but have bad defense, Energy Ball for Pokemon weak to grass and have bad special defense)
I’ll stick to a Roserade for my Grass type, Attract, Grasswhistle and Poison spikes is basically cheating

Oh. I’ve already memorized my favorite pokemon of each type XD
I always struggle on certain ones as I usually argue with myself when it comes to either Lopunny or Arceus for Normal type
My favorite normal type IS probably Lopunny.
