What is the difference
PL Team Slave OwnerHard to explain. Main difference is the AK74 is a 5.56 caliber rifle while the AK47 is a 7.62. That and the shape is different between the two.
Don’t forget the ak74 &akm have built in compensator
Like Explosive Bullet said, it fires 5.45×39 compared to 7.62×39, which gives the gun a few advantages over the 47. First the 5.45 round is lighter, meaning soldiers can carry more for the same weight. It has a higher maximum pressure, producing a higher psi (pounds per square inch), meaning the round has a higher velocity. The round can also have a low enough powder load to be sub sonic, which is for when using a suppressor. Also because of the round’s shape and size, the magazines used are more straight than a 47’s mag, making it more managable and less invasive on how you want to rest your weapon on a surface when firing.
