Lets start off with nebulae.

Now how i start nebulae, i first start off with the brightest area which is the core of the nebulae.
And its infact white.

I first define what its shape is gonna be similar to. I usually choose irregular. (by irregular i mean that it doesn’t look similar to any object.)

Moving more out, i then choose a set of colors. Lets go with pink.

I then spread bright pink around the white, then medium pink around the bright pink, then dark pink around the medium pink.

From there, it will be finished.
But then it will just look weird by itself. So the best thing to do is to add dark clouds, these clouds will surround the nebulae. The outer part which is facing the viewer will be dark, and the part facing the nebulae will be a bright color similar to the nebualae.

Then i blur all of it, add stars to it, then i get this.
