If it’s the voice and overall liveliness change than it was a good choice.
Voices, even if it’s short sounds similar to Zelda games still makes a difference, I intend to use said technique for SNCA and other animations.

You updated his design, I like it.
The more human-like appearance feels more natural for SN, the other one is good but I feel this has more to offer, makes them feel more believable.

He still retains that cutesy style but it’s enough there to say he is competent in battle and whatnot else aside from looking cute.
Great contrast in colours and clothing as well, the boots look too big but that’s fine.
