1. What was your thoughts upon being promoted to a moderator?

– Before being promoted to mod, I had asked Ralph if he needed any help with the site, wether he needed assistance accepting figures, another mod, etc. Ralph responded about looking into another mod which eventually became me. It took about 2 weeks I believe to find out if I got the role. I ended up checking my emails and the site constantly. The day I found out was partially a relief because of the long wait. Besides that, it was of course excitement finding out I was selected for the role. To some degree, felt like I made it on Stick Nodes. Of course it’s been a great experience since then and has helped me tremendously.

2. There’s been discussion on whether Flame should have green or red skin, have you come to a conclusion on what design you’d like to go with?

-I’m still weighing my options. So far it’s down to either the normal green or a dark red. It’s a hard decision at least to me because of how long I’ve been attached to the character. I’ve been making him for over 3 years or so now, so a change that big is hard to make. In all likelihood, he will probably stay green, but red still isn’t out of the picture.

3. What stands out to you about the SN site compared to other communities and social media platforms?

-Well, I actually don’t have many social media. At most 3 counting Stick Nodes. So I don’t have any experience with things like Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat etc. so I can’t truly describe how different of a platform the site is in comparison to other medias.

Community wise however, I know the community it’s self has changed a lot. Most older users have left the site excluding a few which typically aren’t very active. I do think something with the community will shift soon. I have noticed that some users have talked about wanting something better here of shorts. Whether that means the community will actually change and to what I don’t know. However if it does change, I hope it’s for the better. I have noticed that the typical user here more so identifies with other users more so then being apart of SN as a whole. I don’t think that’s necessarily a bad thing, but, it has led to hate and anger between users just because of who their friends are. Not the individual’s actions.

4. If you could add a feature to the app what would it be and why?

-I personally don’t feel I need any new features. I typically only make figures and based on the tools we currently have, I would be fine with them alone. Of course I can think of some general quality of life improvements such as removing colors you’ve added to the 10 or so you can store in the color picker. Maybe even a color inventory where you can name specific colors and what you use them for. A custom node maker would be nice. And possibly a way to make it so nodes can only move within certain degrees. Besides that, I can’t truly think of anything I would want that’s major enough to warrant and update.

5. Got a favourite food?

– I would have to think about that actually. I typically just think of a favorite food for situations then more so in general. However, if I was asked on the spot I would likely say pasta or maybe a chocolate chip cookie. Then again, I would need to really think more to make sure there’s nothing I’m forgetting.

6. Do you have any hobbies?

-Currently, I’m trying to expand my hobbies in terms of the arts. I enjoy creating things, so that’s why I behind the scenes work on more projects then you would expect, all at different stages. I have two card games with one in beta testing, Corrupted as an animated series (plus any character designs I work on the side with) a fighting game, plus projects I’m helping friends with. I have more ideas in terms of series and/games but I simply don’t have time for them.

7. What would you like to be known for in your time on Stick Nodes, do you have a goal for recognition or is it simply just for fun and enjoying your time here?

-Personally, I’ve been going in small goals with Stick Nodes and completing them slowly, not in any particular order. Currently, getting a feature is the big one because then I’m instantly a UC voter. However beyond that, I simply want to be known for making an entertaining series and just good quality figures. However, I feel more importantly would be leaving a positive mark on Stick Nodes as a whole. Knowing that if I leave Stick Nodes it’s in a better place then when I joined, that would make me most fulfilled.

8. What was the inspiration for Flame?

-Like most characters I make, he’s something I just randomly created. I have stints of lots of ideas with characters, then just none at all. I’m sure subconsciously they are all based on something to some degree. As of course, Flame looks like the Hulk and Ghost Rider. Mix-Deck looks like Iron man, Old man is very stereotypical of a old sensei. However as stated before, I mostly come up with characters on the spot, normally based around a core idea. Pneuma was created based on the fact her character has a power where it looks like a physical object. From there I got the idea to make it a ship because it would be the opposite of Flames fire abilities. And from there she became a Pirate. Now if I was asked to come up with a character on the spot it likely wouldn’t be to good, but every so often I do get a good idea and run with it.

9. Favourite video game?

-Smash Bros Ultimate for sure. I have the most hours on that game (500+) then any other I’ve owned. I’ve been a fan of the series since Brawl and have played the newest version ever since.

10. If you could have a superpower or stand what would it be and why?

-I’ll go with superpower first. I feel that time travel (stopping, slowing, going back or forward in time) would be pretty useful. If you forgot something at home, go back in time and get it. About to trip, slow down time and correct yourself, etc. Of course logically we have no idea how it would truly work as it has never happened before. But as it’s fantasy, it would be useful for sure.

-Stand, now having a stand alone would be pretty useful assuming it’s “normal”. As in its at least something that’s strong and/or can help you in daily life. Now the power for the stand (I would likely also pick time travel however I’ll change it up) I would go with invisibility. It could for sure come in handy. Maybe you see someone across the street who you forgot their name and don’t want it to be akward, go invisible.
