When you use trace frame, you can click on a node in the frame and have a few options on what to do with it. Specifically for what I’m asking for is to center the figure on that node so you won’t have to go through the process of trying to zoom in and center it.

took me a minute to figure out what you were getting at here but i had a brain blast
nodes really aren’t intractable with the trace-frame stuff, it’s just an image, though
can of course make that not so, but that’d mean more buttons
and the UI is already getting to look a little absolutely insane
