    • Definitive has a better looking sword otherwise both of them look quite bad

But that doesn’t mean you can’t improve them

I would suggest adding gradients first of all, they literally make everything look better ( unless you know what you’re going for and want a stylized look )

Then how about not making all the nodes on the entire stickfigure have the same thickness ? Or the same length ? For example you can make the torso wider to emphasize strength, or make the legs quite long to emphasize speed, or make the stickfigure freaking tall so that it screams ” I AM OVERPOWERED !1!1!!! ” ( Like Sagat from Street Fighter )

Doing these 2 things will dramatically improve your stickfigure, and I bet it’ll only take no more than 5 minutes.

@ me when you’ve refined your stickfigure

You have no say on whether my tips are bad or not, in fact, people actually like them ( source : the replies )

And either way, my advice is just general knowledge, I mean, emphasizing a body part to highlight powers or personality is a concept as old as time ( see : Priapus, because ” gey ” )

            No they legitimately are horrible

Adding gradients especially on this level really isn’t a solid idea

And making nodes thicker isn’t a good idea either , style choices and all

Yes, adding gradients ” on this level ” is a good idea, even if it’s just a little bit ( see : Ralph’s updated stickfigure )

And I wasn’t telling him to make nodes thicker, I was telling to not make them have the same thickness and to emphasize some body parts ( basic character design 101 )

But choice of style, fair enough, at the end of the day, it’s up to him whether he takes my advice or not.

                Ralph’s updated stickfigure

That just looked like an oiled mess

How is that Basic character design 101-

Just because you say ” it’s an oiled mess ” doesn’t at all mean that it doesn’t look better to other people ( why would ralph call it updated if it looks bad then ? )

And basic character design 101 is what it says on the box, general rule of thumbs to design characters that anyone can understand ( except you apparently )

Also, OP took my advice so rip bozo

I’ll take some of your advice. Mostly on the sword xD

    • Isn’t this Gaby the anim? Like, the only thing different from Gaby’s is the white cross being diagonal and white
