unpopular opinion warning or whatever
i don’t see the appeal with these movies. nice visuals and big explosions, lots of action and shit, but the stories are corny and the acting ranges from eh to unbearable. optimus prime carries the series. and then using the random ass biggie acapella without his song over the trailer music is the most awkward and goofy sounding audio ever.
i like transformers, but aside from the visuals these bay movies are mid imo. good for some turn-off-your-brain fun, but not a seriously good watch.
then again, i skipped out on the last 2. maybe i’m missing something.

i dunno. i know everyone gets nostalgic over these movies, but if i go back and watch the first ones i can’t get past megan fox’s subpar acting. though, as i said, i do enjoy some elements of these movies. the visuals and optimus prime are both pretty cool. but michael bay is really only known for making things go kaboom, not for any deep stuff.
it’s whatever. as i mentioned, it’s good for simple fun. just overrated imo. never got to voice this unpopular opinion before lmao.
It’s fine and understandable. Michael Bay isn’t the first person that comes to mind when you think of “Great Storytelling” or “Great Character Work” but yes, he can make great kabooms. It’s either a shame or a blessing that he’s no longer directing after the embarressing shitshow of a 5th movie The Last Knight was, He’s just producing the movies I believe so Rise Of The Beasts will probably be good but don’t expect anything better then MCU Phase 4 when It comes to visuals
I’d give Ambulance a watch for something that has better character work, I think It’s amazing when It comes to character arcs and tension

Still honestly I’d put Bay in a sort of dream team of movie creation
As long as someone with a brain is working with him , and is above in terms of pecking orders , just get em on visuals and shit

his realistic designs are ass and when i see bots like soundwave compared to g1 vs bay i dont see it tbh so basically i prefer the g1 designs although realisticized
