    another weird dilemma
I watched the mario movie today
during it, I kinda realized something about my own stories. the movie just seemed really fun. It wasn’t too goofy, had a consistent theme and tone, and was fun to watch. the spectacle of some of the action scenes, the characters dynamics and the way it felt. I’m not at all a mario fan, i’m more of a super metroid guy, so I went into this with curiosity and low expectations. I was blown off my feet, per usual with most movies I had low expectations for. but curiousity kills the cat, and I realized something.

I have an outline for a story I’ve been working on forever. a basic, cool concept. and now i’ve stopped having fun with it. I started with an open mind and went crazy with the concept, but now I feel as if I’ve boxed myself in and said ”this is what i’m making and how i’m doing it, no other way” and now I don’t think i’m making the story I want to make. It’s dark, pessimistic at times and only sheds light on the lower sides of characters. that’s not what I want anymore, it doesn’t refect a side of my beliefs I stand by anymore, and the truth is I don’t know what i’m trying to say with this damn story.
    i’m stuck.
I’m postponing a lot, just so I have time to rethink all of this.

    curiousity after killing the cat

At first I wanted to restrict my series to a semi-realistic gig , now I’ve added giant god knights that live in hollow earth , the main antagonist is a emotic Jesus look alike , and giant horses exist
