hurricanes, jormundgandr and evacuations
Jormundgandr was a coastal city, said to be the biggest in the world. However, in the months before the initial apocalypse a hurricane came in from the seas and decimated the town. On the cold night of September 23rd, the predicted storm came from the coast and hit the city hard. Lightning lit fires in the surrounding woods. The flames spread, and Jormundgandr entered into chaos. The fires persisted for days, and most of the populace was evacuated. When the real apocalypse hit, the colonizers (caiman, cass, louise and co.) built up from the literal ashes of the abandoned city, until decades later it became the oasis of a town we know now.
