I never wanna make armor AGAIN
I’m serious it is so FRUSTRATING because you think “oh I can just make it like I make stick figures” but no! You have to use trace and have the stick figure your trying to model the armor around (98% of the times I used trace was just making this stupid armor!) And then you have to use trace again to sample another part of the armor with its color palette Incase you didn’t save the COLOR PALETTE! Oh and then theres where to put the colors- {insert rest of rant}
In a nutshell. I hate making armor. To anyone whose a pro at making armor that can be equipped to a character (and which is the whole point of the armor) was this as annoying for you as it is for me?

Could made the full armor and not seperated
No that wouldn’t work because the armor made is specifically meant to attach to a character. And no just making a alternative version with armor wouldnt work because theres also a bit of customization. (Because I tend to do artwork since I suck at animation. I prefer having characters atleast attempt to be dynamic even though I’m horrible at dynamism) So that way there’s a sense of “realism” (wish I had a better word for that but the point should still be obvious. Armor isnt just one thing that you slap on there are different segments. That need to be equipped its very much just clothing that’s meant for combat.) I wanted there to be a understand that this isn’t just a cosmetic this is actual armor yes people could always assume the person put it on but assumption doesn’t equal how it actually happens. Show don’t tell. #1 rule of any form of story telling (whether art or writing.)
And I… I’ve went completely off the track.
Look my point is the assumption you can’t just make the whole armor as one figure isn’t gAlAxY BwRAin, no it’s stupid because it fundamental turns the armor into something that can be equipped into something that’s decorative. Which is not what it’s meant to be. Could I have done that definitely. I did that with all my characters I’ve made before I turn them in their own separate parts so they can hold their weapons and look like there physical contact being made instead of just one being on a layer above and looking like its in front.
I am very sorry I went on this entire rant I just wanted to state my perspective.
