It’s not necessarily loud per say, but rather just quite noticeable, maybe a little too much but any text sound effect in games or anything always does end up sounding quite loud and so it’s just the way it is.

I get what you mean but you’re better off maybe choosing some slight alterations in the sound of the typing for each character so maybe females have a higher pitch one, can’t remember if you tried something like this or not but variation is probably key.
