idk why this in particular but it gave me nostalgia for my early animation days and i wanna animate rn lmao
but as for some criticism, its def a beginner anim
batmans run wasn’t horrible, better than most beginners, but running realistically in a combat situation is a hard thing to animate and is why animators often do a combo of teleport/smears which are more advanced
regardless, do not just slide characters around, they have feet and gravity is a thing, you gotta animate the subtle weight shits and steps they take
a “realistic” cqc fight is tough to animate so stick with 1 character doing common movements to practice
Im starting to give tons of advice and im having tons of fun doing this
Watch Alan Becker’s “12 Principles of animation video”
Use onion skinning on the side options menup. Do show on front and only show previous frame
Don’t use downloaded models that have completely different body shapes
Look into easing, it’s mentioned in Alan Becker’s video and its the process of acceleration.
Add camera movements
Look at fight scenes from other games and movies
I noticed you rushed it and started skipping too many frames. Take your time and dont rush to get to the end product
Check Mr. Onyx channel. Without him I would have been horrible at SN
Check Mr Onyx’s fluidity video, easing video, anticipation video, and pose dynamics video
Something thats gonna take a while for you to learn, and you wont like it. Move EVERY SINGLE LIMB in every frame. I noticed that when Jason points the gun, you first move the dominant hand, then the non dominant one. Then you move the legs all on a completely different frame. Instead, move the gun hand, non gun hand, and legs all at the same time. TLDR; Move a bit of every limb instead of a bit of one limb every frame
You get better with age btw for some reason
Get a mod apk of stick nod- JKJK dont do it
Try to imagine YOU ARE THE CHARACTER. HOW would he move? In what WAY would he move?
Use the “add guides” button to make an imaginary floor to prevent your characters from sliding
Practice does not always make perfect. If you keep making “practice tests” that use the same skill level as the previous anim you made, you wont get better. Watch youtube videos like Mr Onyx, Alan Becker, Darren Zcon, etc.
Try following frame by frame tutorials. If you do what they do, you can learn HOW they do what they do.
Don’t be afraid of showing shitty animations out to the public. The sn community is pretty friendly and willing to help
You remind me of when I used to animate back in 2021. Once I get an idea, I would just make it with no hesitation and planning ahead. They obviously looked bad, but I enjoyed it.
I dont really know what specific advice you want, so just reply and ill send something back with loads of tips.
