No motivation to animate whatsoever….
Im making an UNCHARTED animation which is pretty much my childhood game and i still dont have motivation. Im always pumped to animate and have these crazy ideas, i open stick nodes pumped and ready to aninate, right? Then i just lose motivation, close the app and do something else. I have all the time I want, im a very good animator, and i have so much plans. It feels like i’m stuck between a rock and a hard place, but it feels like im the rock thats stopping myself. I always wonder how animators like @explosivebullet, @tastylemon16, and other animators i look up to always feel like animating. how do i get rid of this once and for all, because its been like this since I began.

No motivation to animate. Begging for a solution at this point
Recreate a meme, that’s what Im doing right now
Good question
As much as Stick Nodes is a small time animation application and nobody is forcing you to do anything, it comes down to what you tell yourself and how you certify these ideas in your head.
If you don’t take your work seriously and don’t see the outcomes for it than chances are you will treat it as a joke and miss out on many good opportunities. Alternatively if you consider that what you’re animating can contribute to for whatever that may be ( there are plenty of reasons ), you end up certifying that it is worth your time.
It can also come down to burn out from other irl activities and such which can be justified however as you get older managing your time and cultivating the right choices and mindsets can really bolster your success in any field of hobby or career you take up. I struggle to get the right time in for SN due to work, uni and other commitments but I reserve my evenings staying up late to work on something, I start with the site log and work on something for at least an hour. This isn’t really practical however so changing up my routine is essential and the same could potentially be said for you, be the judge and just try different things.
The mindset to take on is work hard, rest hard to avoid burnout and crunch getting things done, just remember to consider any other contributing factor to your motivation, could be:
– You haven’t gone out in a while and maybe just need some fresh air
– Exercise, particularly a hard one can make almost anything feel rewarding afterwards
– Reading
– Socialising
– Going away on some sort of break
– Random easy quick sketches, scribbling even
Relatable situation. How I find motivation to do more is looking at what I have created so far then imagining what more I could do. What I could improve. That requires something to already be made but you need a vision and some ideas in mind.
