Art is supposed to be fun, so if you prefer the sketch, it’s alright to keep it. Doesn’t devalue it in anyway if you choose to keep it that way, or to take a crack at a cleaned up version.
Looks good so far though, nice work.
Could probably save it, create a copy, and work off the copy, then you’ll always have the original sketch if you end up messing something up
