Look dude, if you want to make something noticeably different and unique you actually need to make some changes to the design to show that.
Changing the structure of the body aka the proportions is probably your best move as you don’t have to add or remove any accessories etc, you can just see the pink one is female and the green one a male.
A way you could do this is make the female ‘eye’ have eyelashes, add some more curves if possible and you could probably also reduce the head size a bit.
Come on now, we both know where you’re going with that.
Just try it, look stuff up, you’ve still got some designs here and there that you’ve made but you cut yourself short out of laziness and lack of commitment to your projects.
Use references, whatever material you can that will help.
