Did some basic animation tests over the past few days. Slowly improving with the basics. Seeing Gigans walk test made me realize I didnโt actually learn/remember how to do it, so I made 2. I also have a longer test made but probably going to save that for another post.
Order of making these
Abeer walk
Pneuma idle
Scarlett walk
Jail idle

the semi-choppy style suits the vibe, and its likely necessary given the complexity of the characters
i honestly don’t really know how all these characters connect with each other but lol @ the jail scene
I actually found the characters do work well with smoother animation, and is honestly a little easier. Though I prefer the more choppy style since it rings similar to how anime is done, and I think looks a little nicer.
With the characters, green guy and pirate are the main characters, theyโre forced to interact with each other being in jail and sharing a cell. Egyptian lady is their mentor in the jail.
The other character is a remake I did of Scarlettโs character and due to how I made it, realized it smart stretches perfectly. So going to be using that sometimes until I fix the other figures.
I LOVE CHOPPY ANIMATION!!!!!!!
Very cool dude, It feels much more stylized and fits better with the characters in my opinion (might be personal bias but double/triple framed animation is just way cooler than eased/smooth animation).
