After some thinking I decided you guys were kinda right I want to change my character up a bit and make him look cooler but I’m out of ideas what do u guys think I should do to make him look better (and no i am not getting rid of the scarf so don’t even think about it)

My reply to step one: You don’t have to get rid of the scarf. As Mouser said, sometimes, A really detailed and original Scarf fig gets uploaded, and most people leave it alone… Go this route and you should be good.
Yeah that’s why I’m asking I want to know what I can do to make him more detailed and cool without getting rid of the scarf because I like the scarf but cookie and Chim obviously doesn’t understand my standers if I was truly so stubborn like cookie clams I wouldn’t be asking this

oh yeah try to morph your interests into your RHG’s powers/appearance
for example, Epitaph likes Greek mythology or something, so he made his RHG a demigod

By what people mean by originality is not looking so similar to other rhgs. Trust me, this isn’t an Epitaph band wagon thing but from the start of seeing scarf figures I was sick of them. 4 of them I was fine with but the 100s that looks very similar is a bad thing to be a part of. People will have harder times recognizing you from everyone else. This is were me, Epitaph, Tenebrus and a bunch of others are so well known. But people are sick of scarfs and you will have a hard time picking up a fanbase with it. If you want to have a scarf, sure. Just add more detail than lines and bandanas over a red or black stick figure.
Yeah but I want my guy to look a little cooler but take heckray and son Goku both have scarfs but not a bunch of details I’m like them I like to make really good animations not super detailed full body characters to me it’s not a stick fight then and that’s the one problem I have with the community and I like hyuns dojo because in the dojo likes come from animations not looks on character all those full body’s I see I don’t like there not sticks to me

I see. You like the style of hyuns dojo. People are very sick of those designs. Just maybe you could spice it up a little with some more designs other than a mix because chances are it’s been done. Animating a fight against this figure design wouldn’t be fun and satisfying. You want people to enjoy animating a fight and originality comes with that. Just more details will do.

That’s a dangerous road to go down and will likely keep you away from any success but it’s your choice. People will likely just see you as another animator with cliche storylines. If you do succeed though, I will be impressed.
