you know, I have something random, but really awesome to share with you Epitaph…
heres an awesome idea brought up by an pastor at our church one time…in the book of Acts in the bible, when steven gets stoned it says “he fell asleep” that’s the amazing part! Christians never really “die” they simply fall asleep and wake up in heaven! and personally, if nothing else that’s pretty sick, we are sort of immortal in that sense!
and that idea is further reinforced by an song I heard at my church called “in an heartbeat” the particular lyrics I’m talking about are:
“Jesus is living once again, proving that the grave can never hold God’s children in!”
and its right! death can never truly defeat an Christian

the answer is simple, our job is to reach the unsaved, the lost people basically…that’s why we have missionaries! they goto india, china, japan, etc. to reach the unsaved! and so far our missionaries have been very successful

you have a point. but besides, those countries already follow their own faiths, are they not saved in their own way.
i don’t need to worry about the whole saving thing being as i believe in a lack of afterlife and that we merely die and that’s that. it’s harsh and depressing but i accept it, after all, you can’t change science.

Mkay, personally I have no idea why you’d rather believe that there is no purpose in life and that there is no afterlife…because honestly simply believing that there is God and getting saved doesn’t hurt you at all you should at least get saved as sort of a insurance if nothing else…

i don’t believe there’s no afterlife, i don’t believe, i accept it as truth. i remember once concentrating really hard on the idea of nothing, trying to experience true solace. and i succeeded.
it was only for a split second and it has scarred me. it’s empty, dead, you don’t feel nor see anything.
the idea that reality is so harsh makes me cling to my life further and lets me enjoy life while i have it. this belief has pushed me to believe that the search for greater technology is our greatest goal. to become a more technologically prowessed species is to become more powerful overall through knowledge.
while i may see the road after dead as an empty one, i’m almost happy for that as it completely denies any feeling at all. while you’ll never feel happiness, at least you’ll never be sad either and there’s no eternal punishment stuff either.

besides, as an Atheist, i don’t dismiss it entirely. if i’m given crystal clear proof that there is a god, i will convert. but you’ve gotta remember there are thousands of religions right now, so it’s hard to think only one is the real one.

i was saying that Atheisim isn’t what you think it is. it’s merely dismissing false theories and silly claims without substance while accepting proof. if you were to show me Jesus’s body, if you were to show me the very cross he was put upon, if you were to show me god, i would accept because then it would be fact and not some silly ‘belief’

There is no body! If there was an body of Jesus then that would mean he was not truly the son of God! Because he rose again that proves he is what he said he was

i was only asking for the ever elusive proof.
i’ll just happily sit back on my throne of widely accepted evidence and logical understanding thanks.

yunno’, exept for the part where all brain activity stops, the body begins to decay and the christian becomes a corpse.
that’s kinda called dying
-_- its the physical body dying..the body in an sense is just an shell holding our soul until we die

to me, life is pretty s**t.
we’re souless.
there is no afterlife.
life is meaningless.
but since finding this discovery, i’ve clung onto life as much as i can so i can enjoy it to it’s fullest.
and one last thing i want to leave you with, to sleep on.
“if you have been promised a perfect afterlife, why have you not killed yourself and rid yourself of the mortal plane?”

I’m confused by the grammar there..
Also, I understand if you don’t believe because of the fact there are thousands….it makes sense that an atheist would think that..
