I got it. It’s mostly cuz I got parental settings on youtube. I used to watch stuff on it alot, everything I wanted to see was there on the home page. (This was ofcorse before I got my own account on YouTube, I was using my mother’s at the time.)
But ever since I got my own account, things have gone to hell. Some of the stuff that I liked to watch was gone because of parental settings, I had to completely fix up my home page by searching alot of things I half of the time don’t even watch, and I gotta ask permission to my mom for every time I want something I enjoy watching to appear.
Plus: my mom made it so I can watch videos that are under 18 of age. And sometimes videos who are surely under 18, just don’t show up for some reason. It’s getting pretty hard nowadays to watch something like a playlist with over half of the videos gone.
Idk if anyone cares or smth, I just wanted to insert this here just so others can read about my struggles. Idk why I do this : P

Your mother has her concerns, i can see it being very annoying, having the need for permission just to watch a video you actually enjoy, I’ve been through there, not exactly with your situation but it was very similar.
I generally would say to simply deal with it since it doesnt really affect your daily life, assuming the age you are, you’ll have much more freedom as you grow, for now, just bear with it.
It sucks when parental controls ger in the way of likes or hobbies
My parents know im into guns and cars and hardware stuff but the way google has parental controls, it filters out the actual useful content either because of 1 bad word or “oH nO GuNs ArE bAd!!1!1”
But tbh, it sounds like your mum is just being a good parent and watching out for her kid.
You’re lucky to have a good mum like that, not everyone is blessed with understanding or good parents

Today’s Internet never been more dangerous and it is probably best these parental control were set up, trust me you’re not going to miss out on anything, songs? Nah, movies? You can always ask your family but most movies released are mod.
Internet is a cesspool of degenerates and I say that as a chronically online user.
