also random fun fact, a friend of mine used a CRT as a secondary monitor on his pc up until 2021

My family ditched the CRT TV a bit later. I think it was sent to my aunt, but I’m not sure. However, instead of the Wii (never owned a Nintendo console, just PS), it was only used for the PS2, so it’s an appropriate setup. My PS2 broke for the last time around 2016-2017, which is why the CRT TV is basically unused.
My story with CRT monitors, though – I think I went through 6 of them, all broken within a few months (could be an exaggeration, could be not). The monitor problem was fixed by buying an LED monitor (BenQ, from 2014?).
