I’m figuring a lot out about first pereon animation. And FPS Apocalypse, it is looking really good. 5 – 4 Minutes of fps action made in 30fps tween and 10fps tween.

I gave Apocalypse a watch the other day and I’m not gonna lie: the action is great and the animation is nice and fluent but it’s all let down by two little things, those being the dialogue and Character Design. Now I’ve only seen the latest one (Episode 5 or 4 can’t remember it’s name) so you could say that I haven’t seen enough but i am seeing your latest work so it’s an example of what your CURRENTLY capable of. Now, allow me to begin.
DIALOGUE: this is the main nitpick by far. In the StickNodes Movie i make sure my characters have unique personalities and talk like an organic being, passing the occasional banter and immature joke for the sake of bad comedy. Unfortunately, it’s hard to see The characters as human beings and not robots when they say exactly what they’re gonna do and then do it (EG: “hey look, a sniper rifle. This would be great”) now this isn’t a direct quote but it sums up the protagonists interactions with the environment quite well to be homest. If he were to instead say something like “hey, a sniper rifle! Though a green one would be kinda cool but hey, black will have to do”. See how it fleshes out the character in just a single quote?
CHARACTER DESIGN: seriously, I’m not gonna get attached to basic stickdude with a backpack as much as i will to furry mc-gasmask. Alot of (all) the characters seem to look like carbon copies of each other with minor changes like maybe a hat or a bracelet but nothing more. If you’re looking for a super simple design, take the route that i took for the Terrorist.nodes figure, he’s super simple but can tell exactly what he is from just looking at him and yet you can still flesh him out however you can because of the semi-simplicity.
Hopefully you take these into consideration when making episode 5/6 of Backpack dude’s adventures of describing everything he does 🙂

Oh and don’t worry, I’m still subbed and I’ll watch the new episode when it comes out, this is just constructive criticism
I will definitely improve upon all of that. I’m glad you brought it up. I plan on doing some major design enhancements on all of the characters. I will also have to add a bunch more on to the main character Aiden. When I created the 5th part, I was quite new to stick nodes but I will take what you said here and do my best to fix all that. That all happens to be the biggest flaw of apocalypse.
