The ‘this group is private af only members can see the description’ thing is probably a big problem for groups like thicc nodes with quite strict rules you need to follow before requesting membership.

hmmm
okay I reverted the changes anyway because I done borked it anyway as @epitaph200 pointed out
but instead of fixing @epitaph200‘s issue, should I even bother?
I figured private groups are private, so should their descriptions be since they seem to have a lot of group-only type of talk
yes/no?
how bout it’s optional and turned off by default
*requires work*
haha rofl

let take Thicc Nodes as an examples as it’s the Alcatraz of private groups.
the description there is used mostly as a way to not only promote the group like most but before promoting, it warns of what’s lurking inside, warding off younger audiences or those not into that kind of thing.
descriptions, i’d say, should be kept public.
does alcatraz of private groups even make sense in this context whatever it’s neat
aight, I’ll just leave it as is
I made a few changes over the weekend, mainly just fixing design problems with member/mod/admin/friend request lists
so basically do let me know if anything else is on fire
