    @ralph hey

    i got an email when you commented on my lightsaber thing in stickfigure ideas and it had your IP in it

    if that’s a regular thing for everyone I am slightly concerned about both me and everyone else’s privacy and I am wondering if you have an answer?

    • It happened to me too a while back when the SN forums were still in beta.
      Since Ralph is the owner of this website he’s automatically going to see your IP, but that shouldn’t work the other way around lol.
      But I guess it’s just a glitch where the email bot thinks you’re Ralph and it gives you the real Ralph’s IP or something.
      Unless you’re a creepy hacker, there’s nothing to worry about.

        my problem is that ip addresses can be traced back and you can probably get someone’s address if you look hard enough.

        i’m not comfortable with that.

          I don’t want to make you feel unsafe, but Stick Nodes is a http website, which means it’s not secure like an https.
          Your data and password and all that are safe since your account is a wordpress account, but your IP isn’t. I know a few things about hacking, and exploiting an unsafe website like Stick Nodes is really easy and I can track down your IP. Like I could do it right now but I’m not a douche so I’m not gonna do it because I consider everyone here as friends.
          But yeah basically be careful and use a VPN if you’re really that uncomfortable.

        this is the basic explanation

        I removed the page for now, it’ll be back once I figure it out

        ps it’s not my fault it’s the developer of the particular plugin I’m using so imma yell at him
