They are probably making a server in Minecraft bedrock. You can use different platforms which sounds cool.

Bedrock is the version of minecraft that runs on Mobile devices, Xbox One, and PS4.
if you’re on PC and Java Edition isn’t your thing, you can buy Bedrock on PC too
PS4 isn’t actually bedrock. It’s made by 4J studios and is one of few MC games to be made by 4J.
rip PS4 damn that kinda sucks (they can’t play online with the other cross platforms)
