    “August 26th, 20all
“Our resident herd of Protoceratops browse for their meal in the dusk of the island. These five, German Shepard sized ceratopsians are active for only short bursts throughout the day, more active during dawn and dusk and during the night where it is cooler. Even though the island isn’t as hot as their environment back in time, they can still overheat and thus, spend much of the day in their burrows underneath large boulders and tree roots in the paddock.

“They have a tendency of digging dens against the paddock walls, which ends up more often than not, allowing them to dig underneath the walls and escape. While much more docile than their much larger relatives, they still can get a tempe. Especially the males.

“Their beaks are incredibly sharp and their bite is quite strong, allowing them to snap off branches or rip bark of logs. Or snap a man’s hand or arm off, which is what happened to a security officer who tried to handle one of the ones who escaped. His arm from the elbow down was just ripped off in a mangled mess. He was never the same afterwards.

“When going on the expedition to capture the Nemget Formation animals, we came across an oddly familiar sight. A Protoceratops and Velociraptor were locked in a battle, the raptor’s sickle claw embedded in the herbivore’s neck, with its arm locked in the Protoceratops’ beak. A freak sandstorm came and after sight was restored, the two were no longer there.

“I wonder what happened to them and who won the fight.”
