    • well if i’ll be honest it IS dangerous ($42k fine and Google acc termination) and there is good reason for the paranoia

      first of all, the manual review system is just surface-level bs, there was a reported video of a dude just using gameplay (which was also star wars) as a background for intellectual commentary, and it got marked as “for kids” because the staff was too incompetent and barely listened to the commentary, so animations would still be at risk unless it was Sexual, Overly Gory and Violent, as most animators (especially the popular story time animators) often have a style appealing to younger audiences, but is aimed for pre-teens and above.

      2 – alongside the staffs shitty manual review, they’ll actually just use an automated system to see which videos are for kids or not, which we all know that automated systems and youtube don’t work well together, so unless your video qualifies as one of the following factors i’ve mentioned before, you’re still going to have to take measures with your content, either do some tweaks or change it completely, once again, surface level stuff.

      3 – Since alot of us SN animators make content not targeted for children, but can be enjoyed by children (i mean look at jack’s series it looks like something that would air in shows, minus that sacrifice thingy), we are kinda playing with fire here, plus surface-level reviewing so there’s that.

      idk man, i’d rather not play a legal guessing game and bet my whole life just for internet popularity, this thing is still too dangerous honestly and i don’t want my actual life to be ruined alongside my internet life, i blame youtube for this, they’re the one’s at fault here, the FTC are just doing their job.

            reread it because i previously read it on a whim because i was outside;;

            1 – i decided to do a little bit of digging about that star wars thing, saw nothing, if you could link it that’d be great

            2 – i see what you mean by that, however, we shouldn’t overreact about something like this and actually encourage their mannerisms of judgement to change

            being a wuss wont do anything

            3 – try to look at sn animations with the mind of a 5 year old, not just jack’s series, but most of them.
            kids arent into stickfigures or complicated designs / storylines,
            they’re into cutesy colorful designs (e.g. cartoons and the like) or popular phenomena like star wars, marvel and all that.

            ive grown up for a while with a 5 year old (9 now) who’s used youtube as their main source of entertainment.
            kids won’t dig into stuff like sn, based from my experience.

            thats why gacha videos are popular amongst kids aged 5-12 despite having some weird anime plots. their plots are most of the time simple and the character designs are cutesy and colorful
