I need help I’m trying to get into clam sensu and you have to make a dbz animation that’s not my animation style can somebody help me out on some tips how to dbz animate
Replying to:teo diggity dancan't help you there. Why do you want to be in a dbz animat
Well my styles story animating so contact is like hit they story thingy then another hit dbz requires hit hit hit over and over and that’s uncomfortable but being in a clan where they can teach me expands my horizon
Well, for basic combos and attacks, they should mostly be quick while still having impact. You can convey this by using dash effects and slight tremor effects (too much and it looks like every impact is causing an earthquake), but it’s also good to try and add proper reactions.
Like if dude 1 gets hit in the stomach, curve his torso nodes around dude 2’s fist, and make dude 1 go back a bit.
Kicked in the face? Flick dude 1’s head back and then make him go up a bit, let him re-settle before he goes to attack, maybe in an arc that goes back and down and then forward.
Hope that helps a bit! DBZ stuff can still look pretty nice if you add a twist, so maybe you could keep a bit of your style in there. Like a close-up on an especially strong hit or something like that.

I’ve always wanted to, but never could animate like that.

Respectable. Yeah, ask flashlock, he’s real good at that
