This is AutoAngel’s Splash Screen…
and right off the bat, I can tell you that it’s fuckin shitWhile I may believe the statement of “This splash screen is bad and it shouldn’t have gotten in” to be true, I feel the need to analyze the image
and really just hurt somebody’s feelingsand explain why I feel this way.When looking at the image, you’ll see that there’s a massive elephant in the room. The figures used in the submission. What you should notice about them is that the two prominent figures(other than AA himself) are pixelated figures… whereas AutoAngel is not. This creates an instance of clashing art styles and as a result, makes the image not look good. That’s not to say the figures are bad, in every sense of the word, they are “fucking superb”(specifically the pixel figs, those have to be meticulously crafted in order to look good). But when combined for what appears to be no reason, they are not “fucking superb.” The point is, the figures don’t look great together. It also doesn’t help that the pixilated figures aren’t in the same style either, which again creates clashing art styles, worsening the quality of the splash screen.
So that’s why I think this splash screen sucks.
But I think I have an idea as to why it was accepted.AutoAngel recently achieved the commendable goal of achieving the three most prestigious Profile Badges on the site: Crusader; FeaturedLVL4; and UC Winner LVL4. While I don’t agree with the means in which he got one of these badges, I still have to commend him for the UC Winner Badge that didn’t even exist before June began. But this is the reason why I believe the submission was accepted. I believe that because of AA’s recent accomplishments, Ralph felt obligated to let this poor excuse of a splash screen into SN.
What I stated in this post is merely my own opinion. Feel free to state your own in the comments… I may not agree with them and I may try to argue against them, but that is what creates discussion.

Welcome to my mini splash screen review of Scavenger’s Splash Screen
This is Scavenger’s Splash Screen.
In contrast to AA’s submission, this one is visually fine.
Other than the fact that the SN Free Watermark is visible in the splash screen, there are no other discrepencies… other than one major outlier…
The submission contains figures from the “Constructicon Devastator Pack” Submission that was uploaded under Scavenger’s name on May 14th of 2020.
Now you may be wondering: “But Red? If he made the figures, what’s wrong with the splash screen?”
Well I’ll tell you.
Devastator is from Transformers, a franchise which Ralph does not have a license to use characters from.
Not only that, but a friend on both Discord and the site brought to my attention that the “Constructicon Devastator Pack” was traced from a very nicely sized Youtube channel called “Osro,” which to be fair, Scavenger admitted in both the pack’s author and description… but this leads to my conclusion.
Look, I’m no lawyer, and I’m certainly not going to Law School so take what I say here with a grain of salt, but you can never be too careful, and what I said here in this mini review shows evidence that could mean a possibility of legal trouble on Ralph’s end.
Ralph doesn’t have to listen to me here(especially because I’m not a lawyer and I know next to nothing about copyright), but I assure you that I have his best interests in mind. I don’t like AutoAngel’s Splash Screen, but I understand why it was allowed, but for the sake of being careful, I advise that Scavenger’s Splash Screen be removed.
But hey, I’m just a normal dude that isn’t a lawyer, so my legal advice isn’t really worth all that much.
honestly, yeah, this definitely needs to be removed
it’s running a really high risk of a lawsuit from bigger companies, ralph might go bankrupt and Stick Nodes may be taken down, forever
it’s a licensed character after all
And now I gotta debate with myself on whether or not I should @ ralph…
One one hand, this is good info to have, but on the other hand, I don’t want the thread to get locked simply because it COULD start drama…

pinging him was the best decision really, it’s either we get possibly but not really some drama in a subcommunity or Stick Nodes is gone forever, effectively erradicating all of the communities surrounding it
Also, some companies are relentless when it comes to their lisencing, like nintendo, even fan games get redacted, who knows what michael bay would do.

Hey maybe we should also take into account his history of cheating to actually earn those roles or is that a circus act for another time?
Auto angel committed mistakes but he deserves many of those badges considering his experience and stickfigures which show actual effort
Imagine I judged you only for what you did to me with epitaph like 2 years ago
But most of that effort was riddled with cheats wasn’t it? That’s like a cheater running 1/5th of a marathon and driving the rest of the way and being given 1st place, it’s cheating but he put a smidge or effort into it.
What I judge him on is what he’s done and how what he’s done has been almost forgotten because I’m sure I’m not the only one who was affected by it.
Ralph is not giving him splash screen for his badges but because of his work which is not a cheat
He made those stickfigures and background with his own hands and a little 5 seconds on the screen is his short reward, auto angel deserves to be in the splash screen
Jack I’m not concerned with the splash screen, I’m talking about the cheating that led up to him getting the roles and getting on the splash screen. I wanted to bring back to light the fact that in order to get where he is he had to cheat his way into doing it and he got in via an incredibly biased way. He can be in the splash screen I don’t care if it’s not fair that he got in because it’s as you said, 5 seconds of time you’ll even be seeing it

Auto has taken several slots of featured (and a slot of splash screen submission because of Ralph’s biasism) and top by submitting the same 4 or 5 figures with different color schemes AS WELL AS downvoting any that aren’t his. His rank was cheated for. His slot was cheated for. He is a cheater. He should not be on the site.
Imagine being AutoAngel and pulling some complete clownery to get some roles on a site. I mean seriously him getting that splash screen is almost just like congratulating him for get this! Cheating! It’s almost as if Ralph doesn’t care about what the community may think of this, then again lets be honest when people asked for him to take the drama more seriously look what happened. STEAMING hot take the site was better when we were allowed to drag each other on main. I mean seriously it’s like people just forgot that AutoAngel deliberately downvoted other people’s figs just to achieve some precious roles! Its like Ralph is just standing by that!
The funny thing about that is that should’ve been dealt with but look who got their splash screen!
I mean let’s be honest this is why people don’t like the site anymore. This is just swept under the rug because we just can’t call out people! It’ll cause drama! We don’t want drama on our precious Sticknodes.com! I’m betting this thread will be locked soon just cause of that, just you know stop anything before it gEtS tOo OuT of HaND.

Drama helped out people like Auto Angel for what they did and let it be known and remembered.
And don’t get me started on you know, no tracing or else you get your traced figure removed! We’ve got a whole splash screen practically congratulating theft!
This is the state of sticknodes.com and this is why people that have been here for so long disassociate. It’s real sad but y’know. It is what it is. Though it shouldn’t be like that at all.
I don’t care if I didn’t get a splash screen cause I’ll be honest my entry was a bit flat. I want people to realize what this really is.

like ppl want the chaotic exploitable yt 2016 where everyone was unfiltered and shitted on everyone they didnt like instead of the censor filled 2020 yt we have today (not saying its a bad thing or anything)
It makes sense to add auto angel for his commitent to the community, his stickfigure is not that good (he even stated that once) but you’ve noticed some of these characters don’t have much detail and that’s because of their impact on the community like joker or Heckray
The scavenger one is pretty interesting considering it’s from a registered trademark, at the end of the day it’s just a little image we see for 5 seconds I guess it shouldn’t be the big deal, you have really epic points here red

Alright I see where you’re coming from here it is a basic stickfigure and given his skill he probably could invest some more time and effort into creating a better OC.
Clearly a lot of us have also noticed the methods used for him to earn the roles that he has. He is a skilled stickfigure creator and is doing no wrong in terms of rules although milking the fact that effects do well was probably a bit bitter of him (coming from the lemon).
I think we need to not go for voting on a stickfigure because a well known user made it. Instead we need to take into consideration how it looks as well. I still think adding an important users stickfigure is a good choice as they represent the site in some way although it equally needs to show some effort and time put into it.
Auto is a cool guy although just needs to invest his talents into more than one set of stickfigure. For me I used to be an effect creator but i’d still add variation in my uploads varying from backgrounds to misc to characters etc. we just need to see this from Auto both in the contest next time and his uploads.
We could also use him not cheating for his featured and user’s choices by downvoting every other figure.
What evidence do you have to prove he does that?
You mean from the times he has been very open about that several times?
I have no recollection of him mentioning anything about down voting other stickfigures to boost his.

their OCs aren’t too great, pretty standard, but they’re important community members
since A-A is the only SN user to achieve 50 features and 50 UC wins (achieving the 2 legendary roles) I let his OC in
otherwise yes, it would not have made the cut, so your criticism of it is valid IN TERMS OF comparison to the much more OP/creative/wow-factor submissions
I’m not rekt-ing him or others, many “cool” characters didn’t make it, but because the bar was raised so high, it was highly competetive
