so, now i’m here expressing 3D through l i n e s
so basically, 1 and 2, 1 is the front plane, going diagonal downward, 2 is the back plane that is in shadow going left, or you could tilt your head, and see that 2 is the front and 1 is the back. they are both going towards the light grey point. This is the same for 2 3, 3 4, 4 5, 5 4, 4 3, 3 2, 2 1, or all of them together.if you connect all (or some) the planes to the gray point, you will get a 3D shape. Then you can choose an angle, and make something 3D out of that 3D shape.
You probably don’t understand a word what i just said, and i don’t completely know what im doing, this is just experimental and theoretical, so i will go into more detail and experiment later.
