my guess is the ai or whatever sees 0 as a blank number or an blank space, like a one sided miror where only you can see but the others cant, meaning the ai cant see the 0 and wont let you comment what it consideres as “nothing” or i can just

first off, that’s a Buddypress bug, I wonder if it’s fixed in the new version, I’ll test later
PHP is big brain, it basically has “non-truthy” boolean expressions
so like, the expression “! $variable” (not $variable) is true if $variable is:
– null
– “” (empty string)
– array() (empty array)
– false
and of course…
– 0
it really should better check for this when accepting comment text…
Oh well. It’s not like many people are just gonna comment 0 for no reason.

it’s most likely set to null being read as zero, which triggers the “blank comment” function.
Everything would work otherwise tho.
I feel like I had encountered that glitch before or saw the potential for it while doing various site bug tests but forgot lol

Hmm, that’s weird since 0 is a number but sometimes computers are stupid.
And prob Ralph not gonna fix this anytime soon.
