The StickNodes Smash DLC!
We all love it when a Smash Bros. DLC comes out. You’ve seen your favorite characters like Steve, Ryu, Mewto, and many more take the stage to become your favorite contender. But what if your own Stick Nodes OC could fight alongside Mario, Sonic and Megaman? What if YOU could be part of the fun?
I'm Teo the Dan, and I'd like to welcome you to the Stick Nodes Smash DLC!
Here are the 3 steps to making your own pretend Smash DLC character.
1. Make an intro
Your Smash intro could be a picture, like most people do, or an animation if you so desire. You could do it yourself if you want, but if you don’t consider yourself great at that type of thing, then me or my one of my specially picked mods will gladly do it for you. Example:

2. Make a moveset
Same thing. Your moveset is made up of reusable, easy-to-use movieclips. Make an idle stance, then edit off it to make a variety of moves. Me and Voltage are our two best animators on the team. Scout is real good, too. You can always have us do it for you, but on occasion we may be busy, so be patient.
No tween pls, if you can
3. You’re done my dude
Use your moveset to make animations, share with other people through file sharing sites, and much more! Now get going my peeps!

Do our movesets need to be a specific fps or range of fps? I\’m currently working with 14 fps but I don\’t want to make anyone\’s work difficult if they decide to animate a fight with the movieclips

but personally, if I wanted to create an OC, I’d first get together a rough sketch of what I want
then likely take a pic and use it as a background image in SN for reference

while people can offer random suggestions, its best if there’s some kind of direction or base to start from, aka seeing the character first it’s easier to come up with ideas for moves/powers

This is Orange/Banana’s old moveset part 1: attacks 1, 2 and 3.
This was made when I wasn’t at my current level of animating, so i’ll go back into most of the moves and touch up/remaster the animations
