Not that many of you care due to me having little members and not everyone here having a vr headset or being interested in vr, but I’m not releasing a vr news report tonight. Tomorrow I will though.
-
Alright, day 3 of nightly vr news, you know the drill.
The previously mentioned Vive XR Elite was confirmed to be $1,099, and started preorders. If you preorder now you get 5 popular titles bundled with it, however those titles I could not find the names of. It has a combined 3840 x 1920 resolution.
A company known as Rendever, which focuses on creating vr experiences for the elderly to make those of them who are lonely feel less lonely, just acquired Alcove, a family social meet up platform. The links to their sites below
Rendever: https://www.rendever.com/
Alcove: https://alcovevr.com/
Razor just announced their Quest 2 Headstrap and facial interface. It is said to be made out of a high-performance nylon material to ensure quality weight distribution, a soft strap, and a slip on design. It is also said to block light while still allowing ventilation, and will supposedly eliminate facial pressure. It is also adjustable.
Here is a quote from them in a press statement
“Designed for long-lasting comfort and weight-balanced support, the Razer Adjustable Head Strap System was created with all head shapes in mind. The high-performance nylon material provides reliability, comfort, and durability while the optimized weight distribution allows for more balance during active gameplay. The soft adjustable straps will help gamers find their perfect fit and quick slip-on design ensures little interruption in resuming gameplay”
There’s a lot of promise in this head strap, but the one thing I’m not looking forward too is the price.
The platform known as Wave, known for hosting digital concerts, just partnered up with Pico despite ending their vr concerts a few years back. The concerts will be available on the Pico Neo 3 and the new quest competitor, the Pico Neo 4. Just note that these concerts will not be available in the US, and instead take place in Europe and Asia. (Unless you have one of these headsets in the US, I’m not too sure if it would work if you had it imported here)
Its debut concert is set to feature The Calvin Harris Experience, taking place on January 13th at 8:00PM GMT. It will last around an hour, with its contents being a five-minute preshow and 25 minutes exclusive extended set. (I don’t know what the latter is, however, it is included)
To join this concert, you need to download the Pico Video app from the headsets App Store, and choose the Calvin Harris experience in your video feed on the day of the concert.
Rebroadcasts will re-air daily on weekends starting Jan 14-26 at 8pm GMT.
On the Steam Hardware Survey, Windows Mixed reality was the fastest growing headset type in December, this is due to the HP Reverb G2 getting steel discounts. This is the first time this has happened in years. (Referring to Windows MR topic)
Not much news, sorry guys. This took a while to make do I hope you find this helpful. So goodbye, and goodnight!

Time for day 2 of vr news.
Starting off with the Psvr2, Gran Turismo 7 will be getting a free psvr 2 upgrade, and best saber is currently in development for the platform.
The upcoming Apple Vr/Ar headset had a couple of its features announced, and they are as follow
– A waist-mounted battery, connected via a magnetic, MagSafe-like power cable to the headset’s headband. One battery charge lasts no longer than two hours, but users can swap the battery out for longer sessions.
– A design that uses aluminum, glass, and carbon fiber to reduce its size and weight. Cameras are largely concealed for aesthetic reasons.
– A small, Digital Crown-like dial on its right side that enables users to quickly transition between the virtual and physical world. Unlike the Apple Watch, it will not offer haptic feedback.
– Apple has developed different headbands, including one for consumers made of a similar material to Apple Watch sport bands with built-in speakers, and one targeted at developers.
– Magnetically attachable custom prescription lenses for glasses-wearers.
– Small motors to automatically adjust its internal lenses to match the wearer’s interpupillary distance, providing the largest field of view possible for each individual.
– A 120-degree field of view, like the Valve Index – more than the Meta Quest Pro’s 106-degree field of view.
– The H2 chip for ultra-low latency connection with the second-generation AirPods Pro and future AirPods models.
– Two chips, including a main SoC, including a CPU, GPU, and memory, and a dedicated image signal processor. Both are fabricated with a 5nm process, meaning that the headset misses out on advancements expected to come to other Apple chips later this year. The chips communicate via a custom streaming codec that Apple was forced to develop due to unacceptable latency. The headset known as the XTAL 3, known for being highly advanced (and highly expensive) is getting a wireless option, expecting to launch in late 2023.
A game known as “Smog in the Smoke” will be getting a psvr2 remaster known as “Smog in the Smoke: Rekindled”, and will release on February 22
HTC Is releasing a new consumer headset, reportedly called the Vive XR Elite, will most likely cost $1,400, and due to its features, (“listed here: https://www.roadtovr.com/htc-mr-headset-meta-quest-pro/), is currently being considered as a quest pro competitor.
And that’s it, sorry for being vague and for this not having much. Much of the news today was either
A.) Vague
B.) Containing very little besides a list of features and some minor details
Or
C.) containing little confirmed info and instead talked about leaks
But I hoped you enjoyed it nevertheless, goodbye fellow vr enthusiast!

Hello everyone, here a small, healthy dose of vr news that I will forcefully inject into your neck
Playstation and psvr titles confirmed for a free psvr 2 upgrade.
(This means the game will work on both psvr headsets instead of having 2 separate versions, however it also means in resident evil village’s case that it is getting a vr mode for psvr 2, but it was originally a flat screen game)
1.) After the fall
2.) No Man’s Sky
3.) Resident Evil Village
4.) Pistol Whip
5.) Zenith, the last city
6.) The Last Brigade
7.) Hello Neighbor: Search and Rescue
Now with that out of the way, let’s move onto other vr news
A popular upcoming vr game known as Vertigo 2 recently updated its demo that it had up for 3 years, these are the improvements:
Weapon interaction has been overhauled and now uses physics
Arm and upper body IK has been added
Enemy AI has been greatly improved
Graphics and sounds have been polished
Environments are more detailed and interactive
Lighting has been improved
Performance has been improved
Detailed graphics settings and other options have been addedThe game has a planned release for SteamVR headsets on March 30, 2023.
There is a pair of haptic gloves that just met it’s kickstarter that looks interesting, but I’ll post about that once I have more research.
Now onto the next topic.
Steam revealed the top selling vr games of 2022, which you can see here:
https://store.steampowered.com/sale/BestOf2022?tab=5
Only 2 games on platinum we’re from 2022, Zenith: The Last City and Bonelab, the majority (making up 25 percent of the platinum tier) were released in 2017.
A mixed ar/standalone vr headset is starting to ship to early kickstarter backers, more info on that headset soon.
Later this year, a face tracking mask called “X Mask” Will be available for $90, and reportable has 95 percent accuracy. It will be available in the US and Japan
Meta acquired a company that 3d prints lenses known as “Luxexcel”
I’m a bit late to this but the Quest 2 will receive an automatic performance boost in apps as of v49, (not out yet)
And here is a list for all announced psvr 2 games.
Well, that’s it everybody. I hope all of you found this helpful, as this took a while to write. (Although due to the time this is going to get buried and forgotten)
-
Oh yeah, and I forgot to mention!
We have proof that hell exist, as the blurry, glitchy pile of shit known as
Hitman 3, with its terrible mechanics as well, won Vr game of the year on steam! But again, most people who voted probably didn’t even have a vr headset, but they just saw Hiram. 3 vr, and went like “ooh, that game is good on me compooter, imma hit this button).
Edit: Wow, just saw all the spelling errors I made in this! It’s hard to type when you are tired, in fact, this is what the original edit looked like before I fixed it
“Edit: While, jsut saw all the spelling errors I mede in this! it’s hard to type when you are tored.”
(I fixed the original spelling errors in the post btw)

No news so far on anything new sadly. Hope you all are doing well. A funny video I came across about a few guys wanting to explore some paranormal activity in vr.
Vr name is Chyll-75 as on the site. I’m surprised nobody has guessed that yet. If you ever wanna get a game in. Let me at least know though first.
-
Posted because I was bored as heck and it came to mind.
-
Do you own pavlov shack? Or contractors?
I have pcvr but I’ll use the quest for contractors as there is no wire. Unless you use pcvr, then I’ll join since idk if it has cross play
Edit: it does, however I’ll play with you tommorow if you want to play. It’s getting late. If you do want to play I’ll tell you my username.
-
Replying to:
I have contractors. I’ll talk my parents into letting me friend my fellow friend in animation. It would be helpful if you gave me your username please.
-
Replying to:
BearOfTheDen.
My parents do not know but I’m sure they wouldn’t mind as I play with random people on Pavlov everyday and they don’t care.
-
Replying to:
Cool username. My parents care who I play with, although their starting to let me play with online people.
-
Replying to:
Cool 👍
And I don’t know when we would be able to play if your parents say yes, as I have a dentist appointment tomorrow and we are going out to eat. However I would most likely have time as it won’t take all day.
-
Replying to:
We’ll arrange something. Have fun with your plans. I’ll mostly be on here and there with my brother who I have spoken of before. Goodnight
-
Replying to:
Goodnight
-
Replying to:
Alright unless my brother gets on (he technically owns the headset), I’ll accept the friend request. I leave for the dentist at 1:15, and I have to do stuff before. So I’ll probably be able to play with you after, if you are able to/want to, and if your parents were ok with it.
-
Replying to:
Ok. I have a brother who will most likely want to play with you and me as well probably. Do you have the game onward by any chance just asking. Anyway take your time with what you have to do. I’ll be on here and there.
-
Replying to:
I don’t have onward unfortunately. I do have pavlov shack and contractors though.
Also my brother might be online sometimes so I’ll tell you when it’s me who is ready to play.
-
Replying to:
Ok. I just got contractors for my brother so he could play as well. Yes I got it for him because it was part of a deal I made with him.
-
Replying to:
K,
I’m ready to play now, I have a little bit before I have to leave. I accepted your request. If you don’t want to play right now it’s fine.
-
Replying to:
You think we can play a little later, sorry.
-
Replying to:
It’s fine 👍
No need to apologize
-
Replying to:
Just got some information I have football practice today. Hopefully they’ll cancel so I’ll have more time to play, but I might have to play after practice or some day.
-
Replying to:
Ok, I just got back from the dentist. Tell me when you have football practice so we can plan around that. Unless you are already there.
-
Replying to:
I have it in 21 minutes. It starts at 3:00 and goes on till 5:20. I’ll get settled after and get on. Although I might have to eat first. I their are know plans that happen then I should be fine to play today.
-
Replying to:
Ok, I just got back. I don’t know how long it will take me to get everything else done, but I’ll hit you up when I’m ready. It’ll probably take a while.
-
Replying to:
K, I might not be able to today than since my brother plans on playing soon.
If we can’t play today, hopefully tomorrow
-
Replying to:
Ok. We can play tomorrow then if you want. I might be on here and there tonight.

Informational post about vr coming soon, stay tuned.

Hello fellow Vr users. Happy New Year. 2023 will hold new things and opportunities for Vr and will at best advance it. Have a great New Years Eve and week. Updates on what’s new will be coming.
-
Skyrim VR with the PLANCK, HIGGS, and VRIK mods is absolutely astonishing.
Interaction with almost every item in the game, you actually get to hold the, your weapons make contact instead of phasing through, a cool system for grabbing things from afar (that doesn’t make the telekinesis spell useless), and you can grab npcs and animals, even in combat. (You can even lift them up fully if they are dead and throw them, and they have weight to them too so your movement speed slows down, that’s pretty cool)
And these are just the tip of the iceberg. There are still spell mods, weapon mods, graphics mods, and so much more.
It’s on sale right now for 15 dollars, and if you can mod I absolutely recommend it. Although you’ll most likely need to turn down the movement speed in settings right off that bat, it feels like you are on ice if you don’t.
Here is a tutorial I watched for modding
(Just do the same thing you did with the other mods for PLANCK, install it, copy it into vortex, and boom, if you installed SKSE and HIGGS, you should be good)
-
Just got my brother a Oculus Quest 2 for Christmas and I set it up for him. Bro was so happy it made me happy. We got ESPIRE 2 and hope to play it some more. Although, we’re going to Georgia along with my parents and have to wait a week to play. I’m writing this at 11:32 pm and are flight is 5:00. We’ll, have a Merry Christmas!

To anyone with a quest/quest 2/quest pro, I recommend Pavlov shack
It has custom game modes
It has a huge variety of vanilla game modes
It has a gamemode called TTT (like Gmod) that I think is the best gamemode, kinda like among us except with more roles, no tasks, and the innocents could actually fight back. Oh yeah and with guns, knives, plasma cannons, and a whole variety of stuff.
-
Yah. It’s a cool game. I like contractors a little more, only because of the no computer needed. Although the graphics aren’t as crispy as Pavlov. If only you were able to catch and throw back grenades. Or are you able to do that? Idk
-
Replying to:
Pavlov shack doesn’t need a computer either
Pavlov does, however Pavlov shack is the stand alone version
And I do plan on getting contractors due to the mods, I don’t know if I’ll play on pcvr or quest 2 though, since even though I get both when purchasing one, I don’t know if I should play on the quest 2 due to no wire, or pcvr due to the better frame rate, graphics, battery life, etc.
And as for the grenades I don’t know
Also Pavlov shack is free so if you do get it and don’t like it doesn’t matter.
-
Replying to:
I have it. Although the full game isn’t on quest in the store you can play the beta. Still good performance. Just not really full features.
-
Replying to:
Yeah
It’s still a load of fun though, the community is a major contributor to that due to all the silly situations
Like one time someone was gonna shoot themselves, so we said if they shot themselves we would shoot them, they said it didn’t make sense since they wanted to die anyway, so we said if they shit themselves we would shoot ourselves, and it kept spiraling until everyone was in a circle with a gun to their head and a gun aiming at someone else (obviously I am referring to the game in all of this)
This game has one heck of a community, and that makes it a lot of fun. Not to mention how addicting TTT is, (which is the gamemode where the thing I said before happened)

Hello everyone. Happy holidays. Some new things are being added and updated on Quest 2. A game called “Hyper Dash” will be free to play by the end of December. A campaign is coming to the parkour game “Stride” by 2023. Also a game called “Blaston” is now free to play. All the things I have knowledge of so far.
-
Actually about to get on quest at the moment as well.
-
Saints and sinners 2 is also out, has been out for a while though
Also the pro controllers work on the quest 2 now, which are better than the original, however they cost a lot of money
They also made it so your avatar is on the oculus home
What else…
Oh yeah oculus v47 is out.
Thanks for reminding me this group exists, I kinda forgot about it, lol

Replying to:

Oh no they’re turning the game into a series as well,
“SAINTS AND SINNERS 35 WALKING SKELOTONS AT THIS POINT”
probably going to milk it the exact same way they did the show.Ngl tho one of the best zombie killing games I’ve played recently (the first one)
-
Replying to:
Stand-alone or pcvr?
I use pcvr using the quest 2 and link cable. What do you prefer?
-
Replying to:
I played it on a VR headset.
4D audio too,Scary asf with hoards 💀
Honestly I mostly perfer PC because VR gives me too much headaches and whatever-
Replying to:
No I meant like standalone (not connected to a pc) or pcvr (you connect your headset to a pc using a wire or wifi)
-
Replying to:
Actually don’t know because it was a friend’s headset.
Oculus VR headset,I couldn’t afford anything like that 💀

Can anyone tell me their experience or what they know of Resident Evil Vr. I’m going to get it, but want to know a little bit more of the game.
-
Dont own it, sorry.
Heard its a great game though (and ive watched people play it), my suggestion is get it or watch others play it on youtube to see if it is the kind of game you want.
-
Replying to:
Ok. I’v watched others play it, but just wanted to get others feedback. Thank you

Ralph… I almost did it. Probably wouldn’t have slapped him, but who knows. Just woke up to find out my controller has a big black mark on it and marks everywhere. It’s not coming off! To those if you play Oculus. I know y’all care for it (supposed to) but if you let any other play on it. Please check the controller and oculus itself. Tell them to as well. Man I’m upset, he’s gonna have to buy me a new left controller now.
