well basically you will have a joystick for moving, and a button for each attacks or move. There will be a button for:
attack
crouch
jump
mega attack
block
dodge
dashAnd there will be health bars and a stamina bar

the health bar will be there, and it will go down and get redder as the player keeps getting hit and the more red it gets, the more further back the player will be hit and the more damage will be tooken

I wouldnβt suggest that in any kind of fighting game. In fact I would suggest the opposite. Damage scaling. Especially if the game is gonna be combo heavy.
In smash, they have stale moves, which basically reduces the amount of damage a move does if itβs used a repeated amount of times.
I think itβs like a counter of 9 and the amount of times you used a move within those nine is the amount the damage is reduced. Something like that.
But itβs toggleable
So I think what you were suggesting is like the stamina mode they have.
Tho Iβm not 100% sure how the knock back works when itβs on that mode.-

yea, ngl idk how to make it knock you back more i might just do the healthbars gone you lose thing, and for combos I’m gonna make it you can only attack 5 times per combo so its not unenjoyable for the other player

Mainly aerial attacks, but also I might add something else. My character has many weapons so I donβt know if Iβm allowed to switch weapons or just stick to one. And by aerial attacks, I mean aerial specials

Well he said the game was going to be like smash, so a max of 5 aerials (forward back down up) Iβm assuming you can only have one weapon, but I guess for one of your specials you could have it change your weapon/move set. But that would be a lot of work.
Also since itβs like smash, max of 4 specials but they can have air variants.
Or you could just make it like Kazuya and have a few input based attacks and lots of tilts along with the specials.
The list needs to be remade slightly
Last thing(hopefully) itβs gotta be at 30 fps so the fps reliant smash mechanics can just be cut in half. (Ex: shield takes 11(5 or 6 itβs glkβs choice) frames to drop) -

well, sadly like KG said theres a max number of aerials and you can only have 2 weapons max
but make it 20 fps
