its the downside of having such an accessible app. Every tween on the planet has access to Stick Nodes and it’s community.

what if all the sprites are in one frame in a movieclip?

i have a question, do i have to make a thumbnail animated if i have a movie clip that has sprites in it?
-
It would certainly for the best.

Yes, the most effective/efficient way to do it would be to put the movieclip into a project at 8fps, set the frame delay to 5 seconds, and then export it as a GIF.
If the 5 second GIF doesn’t cover every sprite, that’s fine. It’s common to have certain frames to an MC omitted, you’re not sacrificing downloads or anything.
Of course, these parameters aren’t my decision. When you said “sprites” I assumed you had a massive sprite sheet, but again. Even if you do or don’t, not up to me.
Hope my rambling helps 🤷

Oh that works too! In that case I’d recommend just putting the movieclip into a 1 frame animation and exporting the 1 frame as a PNG.

you must clearly show what is being downloaded, that’s the goal of a thumbnail
being flashy/funny should be the secondary goal
many people don’t get this, and a lot get denied because of it
also GIFs shouldn’t be 10 seconds long and 5 gigabytes in size ffs
sorry im taking out my years of silent frustration on you
